Blue-blue is not a puppy anymore.  He is becoming a smart mischievous little wheezel.  He spends most of his time hanging around the house hoping that someone will pay attention to him.  He is a little put out by the fact that 3 babies have arrived at the house since he moved in, in early 2002.  He currently dreams about the spring, when he can spend most of his days outside. He had a great time during Farfar's resent visit, since that meant a lot of play, pulling and tugging.   -  Husse

Monsieur Bleu-bleu has now reached the tender age of 20 months.  He is still a puppy at heart.  He just spent 2 weeks home alone.  He had the pleasure of taking care of Helen when we were in Sweden.... or maybe it was the other way around.  I arrive from work this evening to find him in an exillarating mood.  He had probably hunted down one of our local groundhogs, because he was covered in a very attractive pattern of blood splatter.  Every day is an advanture for him.  Yesterday was "running-around-like-a-loon-when-husse-cuts-the-grass" day.  This resulted in very green legs and a quick shower at midnight.  -  Husse

With BlueBlue's winter jacket on its way fall had a surprise for us, 8 inches of snow.  BlueBlue refused to go out in the white stuff at first.  I think he had vague memories of it from his first winter with us and wanted nothing to do with it.  I had to carry him out in it, but when nature called he braved the elements and hopped out in the snow.  He wasn't sure what to do when the white stuff came all the way up to his belly, should he still squat to pee, hum problems, problems.  But by the end of the day he was doing pretty well and even managed to play in the snow with Helen.  Maybe today we can get some pictures of him out in it.  For now however he is curling up in front of the fire and watching the white stuff from inside. BlueBlue spent his second night alone with Farmor last weekend and lets put it this way, I don't think he missed us all that much.  I heard a rumor that Farmor may have even allowed him to come up on the bed.  (hee-hee).  I think BlueBlue will definitely miss Farmor, but hopefully Helen will enjoy him as much as Farmor seems to have.  Farmor has taught BlueBlue an amazing trick.  He now skims the pool.  Yes, you heard it right skims the pool.  He goes around and pulls out all the leaves and bugs from the pool.  Now if we could just get him to put them in a bag we could start a pool service.

He is growing like a weed and loosing hair like I have never seen.  I don't remember my other Whippets ever shedding like this.  We have so much fun with him and we can't wait for Gustav to get big enough to play with BlueBlue.  The two of them have definitely taken an interest in eachother and Gustav is always watching BlueBlue these days.  They seem to be buds these days.  A couple of time I have turned away only to turn around and see BlueBlue laying a toy infront of Gustav or laying down next to him.  To see a recent picture of BlueBlue click on the picture link at the bottom of this page.

BlueBlue survived our week away, though he was a little skinnier then before we left.  I am pretty sure he lost the weight chasing his friend Rocksby (for short) around the yard.  I am guessing Rocksby slept for a straight week after his visit with BlueBlue.  BlueBlue is keeping Farmor busy when Gustav is not.  I think BlueBlue will really miss having her around, and I am guessing Farmor will miss BlueBlue more than she would like to admit.  Morris will be very jealous of all the interesting smells Farmor comes home with.  BlueBlue has made a habit out of popping the balls that we have in the pool and falling in while in the process.  He fell in twice yesterday while chasing the ball.  He goes nuts when Göran is swimming and goes underwater for a while.  BlueBlue starts barking, it is really very funny.  He has finally gotten used to Gustav and they have even become buddies.  BlueBlue will put his ball down for Gustav to throw to him but Gustav hasn't figured out the whole throwing thing yet.  I know in a few short years they will be inseperable.  I can't wait.  For now we spoil BlueBlue rotten and he smothers us with kisses.  Jen-

Blue-blue has now reached the age of 8 months.  He is hopelessly spoiled and in desperate need of some discipline.  Last night he found a 15 second gap when nobody was looking, and snagged a steak from the table next to the BBQ.  He is getting along much better these days with his "little brother" Gustav.  He is getting braver around the pool and has managed to fall in once already.
