Below is a narrative of our experience with the two little monsters!!!
March 13, 2006
There is a reason we now call them the double-headed monster, or the wrecking crew or Klas Klättermus or...........they
are sucking the life out of all of us.
Both of them are surfing around the apartment in a mixture of walking, crawling and wall surfing. They have also
started to eat a lot more, and they make sure that they do not miss a meal when they see someone else eating.
Carl is still struggling with his breathing and we pray that his appointment at the end of the month will bring us some
good news. He is in good hands with the CHOP doctors.
Both C & R got tubes put in their ears in February. This became necessary after a long four months of colds
and ear infections. We have seen a big improvement since the procedure was completed.

Well we are off to the races. Both Rikard and Carl can now crawl. Carl has been doing so for a few weeks
but Rikard just started last week and lets just say he is a quick learner. They are wearing out the toes in their
pj's because they use their toes to push themselves. They do a little "commando crawl" using their arms and toes to
move instead of their hands and knees. It is weird looking but effective and they are all over the place. Carl
has a knack for going directly for the thing he is not allowed to have! So all of Gustav's toys are now up out of reach.
These little guys are chow hounds and are eating us out of our savings. I cannot believe how much they eat.
Gustav was such a little bird and these two make up for it and then some. I shudder at the thought of what it will be
like to have 3 teenage hungry boys in my house. I think we will have to take 2nd jobs to afford them. But they
are so worth it.
I am really enjoying this new stage with them. They are starting to play and react to thing you do. Peek-a-boo
is really popular with Carl, while Rikard loves to be tickled or "wrestled with." They are such fun babies and I feel
so lucky. Best of all is that their big brother is so good with them and seems to really love them. How lucky
are we.

Well the boys are almost 6 months old and I cannot believe it has been 6 months already. It really blows me away.
They are getting so big. I fully expect at their next appointment for them to each weigh close to 18 lbs. That
is 3 times their birthweight. Can you tell these two like to eat?
As the weather turns nicer we are taking the boys out and airing out their little bottoms. They love the fresh
air. Here are a few pictures from our recent foray out into the fresh spring air. Aren't they adorable?

Well Carl and Rikard had their 4 month appointment
(2 weeks late) and they are growing like weeds. They each weigh 15 lbs. 14 oz.(just
shy of 16 lbs or just over 7 kilo). That means they have gained a whopping 160
oz (4.5 kilo) since they were born. They are officially chubby babies. Just look at those cheeks. They are approximately 26.5 inches
long (I think around 67 cm) and seem to grow taller each day.
Carl has outdone Rikard by being the first to
roll-over, which he did on Monday. This was a big surprise to us as we figured
Rikard would do this first. Just goes to show that you never know. The boys have begun sleeping through the night. Sleeping through
the night being a relative term, as I am still getting up at 4:30 to nurse them, but it beats the 3 times a night. Now if I could only get into bed before 11:00 PM every night.
Life is amazing with 3 boys. I am so in love with my boys and I can’t imagine life without any of them. They are all so very different in looks, personality, you name it.
Rikard is a lover, Carl is a happy-go-lucky baby and Gustav is funny as can be.
We are so lucky, despite the lack of sleep or “down-time” and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Carl & Rikard are turning into little angels. Why is that - you say. Well, they have decided that one
feeding per night is enough. I can tell you how happy that makes their mother feel. They normally crash around
7 every night after tanking up large quantities of milk. They get hungry again around 1:00 AM, before sleeping until
5 or 6 in the morning. This will be even more important in two weeks when Jen starts to play lawyer again.
Cheers - Dad

I thought you all might want to see what these two look like from the outside at 34+ weeks. All I can say is YIKES!!
November 16, 2004
Well we are 34+ weeks and everything
is going pretty smooth considering there are two of them in my belly. Today is my second day of no longer working and
I have had 2 conference calls. So much for no more work. I have also finally come down with Gustav's cold. UGH!!!
We have had a few interesting weeks since I last posted. We went into premature labor a couple of days before Halloween, which
resulted in a trip to L&D and an injection of medication to stop labor. Then
the day before Halloween we were back at L&D for more contractions and more medication.
Now I take the medication every day and that keeps the contractions away. I
will finish that medication this week and then it is up to the twins when they want to arrive.
The doctors will not stop labor now if it comes. I hope they at least
wait until after Thanksgiving, though I am feeling really huge and uncomfortable and ready to stop being pregnant. I hope that doesn’t sound bad, but I want to be a real person again.
Grandma and Grandpa Loeb are coming in less then a week and so is Aunt Julie.
I can’t wait to see them! We are planning a big Thanksgiving dinner
and I can’t wait. I only hope these two let me eat something. Next Wednesday we have our next ultrasound and I can’t wait to see how big these little babies are. I pray they are close to 5 lbs if not over.
The count down has begun ... it is exactly 4 weeks until the babies scheduled
arrival. Jen
October 25, 2004
Well today we are 31+ weeks pregnant with our twins. They are kicking and moving up a storm. At times you
can feel body parts, like knees, feet or the like. It is so weird. I have been on "modified bedrest" for 4 weeks
now, which means I am supposed to spend 8 hours a day laying on my side and 8 hours day sleeping. That leaves me 8 hours
a day in which to live. Not a whole lot of time, but the bedrest is serving its purpose. As of Thursday these
babies weighed almost 4 lbs each. With at least 7 weeks to go, YIKES!! We are very excited and Gustav seems excited
as well, of course he doesn't know what he is in for.
